Tomcat with Bromethalin Bait Chunx
Excellent for knockdown of severe infestations
Tomcat with Bromethalin Bait Chunx contains the premium active ingredient Bromethalin, excellent for proven control of high rodent populations and severe infestations. Bromethalin is an acute, non-anticoagulant active that will begin to kill rats & mice in 2 or more days after consuming a lethal dose, faster than anticoagulant baits. Due to a quick knockdown, relatively more rodents can be controlled with less bait.
Motomco's unique, proprietary extrusion process produces Bait Chunx with multiple edges that appeal to a rodent's desire to gnaw. Chunx are made with food-grade ingredients and small amounts of paraffin for a highly palatable bait. Each block kills up to 12 mice on an average.
Kills by affecting the rodents’ nervous system – Bromethalin is an ATP Inhibitor, which prevents the transfer of energy across nerve cells.
Benefits:
- Proven combination of palatability and effective control
- Rodents will cease feeding after consuming a lethal dose, requiring less bait to be used
- Formulated with optimal blend of ingredients and low wax content for maximum weatherability
- Mold and moisture resistant
- Unique block shape and edges preferred by rodents that like to gnaw
- Contains holes for placing on rods in a bait station, or can be secured using nails or wire
- Available in 4lb Pail

We had a tornado knock down 20 trees in our backyard. That’s when I found out about wood rats- the hard away! Wood rats live in trees and you never really notice them until the trees are gone. Then they try moving into your attic and walls. We simply put some of these in the attic and a few other places where our dogs couldn’t reach them. Problem solved and no smell of dying wood rats. No fussing with traps, and you get your peace and quiet back in your home. 5 stars product all the way!
We tried traps, which would catch a rat or two, but the rats quickly learned to avoid the traps (this is why they are good in labs, they observe and learn). My son cornered one in the bathroom and rat murder happened there. He caught one that was cornered on the aquarium and another rat murder took place. It was a slow rate of getting rid of them, and given their breeding numbers and friend invites, we were losing the battle.
We bought the packs and threw them around the house. The numbers of rats seemed to drop some. We would find the empty wrappers around so we knew they were eating them, but we didn't think it was helping enough. I just left the bucket open on the counter and I noticed the packs were disappearing but figured my son was occasionally tossing them in concealed areas.
I bought this same brand in the green blocks to try it from a local hardware store. We set out a bait station and that has not been touched at all, even though it was in their running path. I watched them run over it or around it, but never into it and those blocks have not been touched. I put a couple under the aquarium stands and we quickly noticed a stoppage of activity there in just a couple of days.
I set the remainder of the blocks in the opened box, into the bucket the packs had been in (they were all gone now). With 2 days all the blocks were gone (the cellophane wrappers left behind) and I found out my son had not been throwing the packs or blocks anywhere. The rats were removing them and eating them somewhere else. They removed the last 2 blocks last night.
Since adding the blocks, we have almost no activity. We have gone from them free-ranging throughout the house to almost complete peace and quiet. I am not sure that one feeding kills them, I think it takes multiple feedings, which is fine.
I'm ordering more of both formats, to put under the house and up in the attic. We have stuffed holes with the packs and will do more of that (they ate through the foam sealant in record time).
So, my wife and I moved into our new home with limited signs of mice evidence. I did notice some droppings around our water heater, but assumed they were old and well taken care of. Fast forward a year and we were being ATTACKED! It went from no mice activity to holes in our dog food bags, crawling in the walls, and eventually them running around in the house. The house was the last straw...I began battle.
Naturally I went for the cheapest options first. We did wooden mouse traps with peanut butter. They would get set off and the peanut butter would be gone, but no mouse. Next, giant wooden rat traps. Same story. Then, sticky pads and traps combined. Got two kills with the sticky pad, but the mice still seemed to begetting off of them somehow. I WAS LOSING MY MIND! The freaks were still running around the house and pooping everywhere. My whole garage smelled terrible and it was seeping into the house. I would even flip the light on real quick and peak my head into the garage only to see them sitting on my golf bag staring at me. They didn't even care. I took that personally and decided there were no longer any rules.
I bought 24 JAWS mouse traps from amazon. These were not as productive as I would have liked, but I was getting kills. Then it happened, 1 RAT (bc this motherlover was huge) got caught in three traps at the same and was still flailing around in my garage. I grabbed my shovel and took its head. The line had been crossed. I was committed.
POISON, it had to be done. I read reviews for hours and everyone seemed to have the same issues I did. So I got the bait and spread it in 3 of the main locations I saw activity. They ate it fast, like within the hour. Every time one disappeared, I replaced. Eventually the bait stopped disappearing. Then came the smells. Mice dying in my vents and walls. From what i've read, that will go away.
BUT THEN! And you aren't gonna believe this nonsense...
My wife and I are watching TV downstairs and something caught her eye. There was a flipping rat sitting within a couple feet of us staring at our Xmas tree. She flipped, I flipped, our son laughed. It didn't move. I walked up to it. Nothing, it stood cold. The poison must have it messed up in the head, right? I decided to sweep it into a box; didn't have to. I put the box down and walked right in. After staring at it for twenty minutes I realized what had to be done. I took it outside and removed it's head with my shovel. The dded was done.
Now we wait....
Listen, this stuff will solve your problem. But when the time comes, you will have to "take matters into your own hands".
God's Speed.
