Customers are dissatisfied with the spin of the wildlife feeder. They mention that it doesn't spin freely, it doesn’t spin smoothly, and the screws that come with it get stripped. The feeder barely spins when squirrels get on it, and it only spins if you manually spin it. The arms don't turn very well, and there are little bolts inside that get in the way of the spin. As a result, the cotter pins get in against the middle and make it hard to spin.

Customers are dissatisfied with the sturdiness of the wildlife feeder. They mention that the axle is weak, the arms fall off, and the feeder jerks free with significant force and torque. Some say that the arms are floppy and the corners catch.

It worked ok, but I think she kept too much other corn out for the squirrels to consistently make the effort to eat the corn on it.
This one arrived quickly and was simple to assemble. It spins easily and quietly.
Another review mentioned it was noisy when it spins... I don't see how it could be, but if it is, a dab of axle grease or Vaseline on the plastic center pin should quieten it down.
Regardless, squirrels will eventually get used to most noises if there is food as a reward.
Like another post said, I put the hair clip retainer clips all the way through so the arm end is in the big loop.
I feel confident this will keep the squirrels or raccoons from being able to pull the pins out and "stealing" the arms and corn.
This appears to be well made and may even be powder coated?
As far as this stopping squirrels from "raiding" bird feeders, squirrels are like water and electricity... they will take the path of least resistance... if the bird feeder is easier to get to than other food, they will usually go there first, wouldn't you?
I will post back after the squirrels have had a chance to dine on their new revolving feeder.
I have to say, this feeder is a challenge for the squirrels and they now have to hang upside down to dine on the corn.
Often slipping and sliding down the arms.
They seem to enjoy the challenge, as over a few days all that is left are the cobs.
They really don't spin around on this, they just reach out to get the top ears, then hang down by their back feet to grab the lower ears.
Enjoyable to watch and doesn't need restocking as often.
Good solid product.
It doesn’t spin smoothly and the screws that come with it get stripped super easily so it’s hard to get them in a tree, or back out! Usually also 1-2 cobs fall off each time I refill it, even if screwed in all the way. Im not sure if that’s a result of the corn softness or if it’s a design flaw though, so I can’t say for sure if that’s something that can be improved.
It's great for the entertainment value. It almost seems like squirrel Olympics......

I don't know how much cheaper cotter pins are than bolts, or some other, more secure fastener, but this seems an unnecessary corner to cut. One that actually damages the ability of the product to function as advertised.
Having said all that, it is made out of metal and the individual pieces are well-manufactured (no burrs, etc.). The finish is nice and seems like it will be durable (except for areas of wear as described above).
On the whole, I would look elsewhere for squirrel-feeding options.
