The trees I tested this hammock net on were a bit too far apart for the length of rope included so it made for a not-so-ideal setup. However, I was able to get it installed over the hammock and was able to enjoy a bug free micro-nap in the hammock before I was nudged out by the kids. Maybe, under an ideal tree layout, one could install the net in such a way that entering and exiting the hammock isn't obscured by the narrow net opening.Perhaps, one downside, there's still a large enough opening at either end of the net where it surrounds the hammock rope where bugs and other rodents could get in.

This didn't have a lot of reviews and I don't always trust reviews, but this net is great! If you're taking it backpacking, I'd say it's a bit bulky. For the backyard, it's perfect! I like that the guyline is attached to the ends so I don't have to clip the whole thing up. I enjoyed reading my book in my hammock without getting chewed up by noseeums and skeeters.

The cons...it had a few snags right out of the box. I'm sure the more expensive ones are finer mesh and better quality. If I was sleeping near the river, I'm not sure I'd trust it for an all night adventure.

So far I'm impressed. It has a plastic smell when you first open it so I let it air out for a day. The netting is nice and tight= no bugs coming through! The adjustable lines are great and looks like it will be perfect for camping. Used on my balcony with my metal hammock stand and it's a bit hard to make the top line taut enough to not be in my face but I think hanging from trees will be perfect. Only iffy part is the zipper bit they seem solid so only time will tell.

I'm love sleeping and camping in a Central/South American style hammock! This is the style that does not have the spread bars at each end, making this style much more stable! The North American style with the spreader bars can be very "tippy".

The only problem with any hammock is that in warm weather, the mosquitoes and other bugs will drive you crazy! Especially where I live in Georgia. The obvious solution is a mosquito net. When I was a boy, I used the military style "Jungle Hammock" that has a permanent mosquito net and rain tarp built in. They worked great, but if I didn't need the tarp or mosquito net, I was stuck with them. These hammocks were also bulky and heavy.

Another design I tried is the Hennesey Hammock that is similar to the Jungle Hammock with no zippers to save weight. It used a bottom entry which was a flap that you crawled into. Lighter weight, but difficult to use.

What I have now settled on for my hammocks is a modular system which has a separate hammock and mosquito net. If you need a rain tarp, you just add a rain tarp. That where this net comes in. It fits over the hammock and is tied down at each end to the hammock support ropes. There are separate guy lines to hold the mosquito net up off of you. Works great!

The 10 foot length is perfect for all of my hammocks. (I have quite a few including some I made myself.) With a hammock, this net and a rain tarp, I can have a dry, bug free camp out! The vertical zippers make it easy to get in and out.

A light weight hammock, this net and a light weight rain tarp is less weight than many camping tents. And is much more confortable!

The lightest weight system I have is one I made myself, but it isn't as durable as a commercial hammock with this net.

All things considered this is a good solution for warm weather hammock camping and is at a good price!
