Product Description
The Waspinator is a new and effective tool to keep wasps, yellow jackets and hornets away. It is easy to use, environmentally friendly, safe, clean and effective. The Original Waspinator works by scaring wasps away from your picnic area and back yard. It works without toxic chemicals or messy baits and it works without killing wasps, which play an important role in killing other insects. The Waspinator allows you and your family to enjoy picnics, dinners on the deck, parties at the beach or just relaxing in your backyard, without being attacked or bothered by wasps. The Waspinator works very much like a scarecrow does. It scares wasps away from the protected area. Yellow Jackets and wasps are very “visual” insects. They depend on a keen sense of sight to catch moving prey. Wasps and Yellow Jackets are also very territorial and will never enter into an area where another colony’s hive or nest is located. The Waspinator creates the appearance of a foreign nest and if a yellow jacket or wasp enters the area in search of food, as soon as they spot the “foreign” nest, they immediately leave the area for fear that the wasps from the artificial nest (Waspinator) will attack them, thus ridding your patio and yard of wasps, yellow jackets and hornets. Since the Waspinator does not use any chemicals it is safe to use around children and pets. In many cases 1 Waspinator is enough to protect a patio, but more can be used in larger areas or when there is a particularly bad wasp problem.

Hey! I don't usually take time to review things, but let me just say I am blown away by this product! I was very skeptical when I bought it but I was at my wit's end on the red wing wasps problems all around my house! I couldn't even sit outside in my Chase lounger they would attack me, sting me, an run me back into my house! My little big brother is the one who should get all the credit,he told me about them! They work! they sure do work! I am still blown away on how well they work! Like I said I was very doubtful, but I gave them a try, I'm so grateful I did! I stuffed them with plastic bags to puff them out, i have an attached garage,so I hung one between back garage door and my back door, and one in front between garage bay doors and my front door of house, and one by patio. Those are the places where the wasp activity were, you couldn't even get near those places without getting attacked an stung!! When I cut grass it was a struggle! But now? Wasp are GONE! ALL GONE! I bought more for my youngest Bros house next door, all I can do is shake my head I am genuinely amazed and eternally grateful for this simple poison free solution! Waspinators worked like a charm! I will be making sure I have extras so I am not invaded by wasp ever again! These worked for me!
PROS:
• natural way to keep wasps away, without pesticides.
• hang it from a gardening "shepherd's hook", and you're good to go.
• I utilize next to the patio, and another one next to my shed door.
• stuff it with plastic grocery bags!
CONS (that I don't deduct points for):
• it's a little pricey, yet well worth your money.
• it's not indestructible to the weather, yet there isn't anything else that's durable enough that works for me.
• anything that hangs outside 24/7 in the sun, rain, and wind is going to degrade over time. I usually get two or three years out of each one that is outside (unprotected) from the elements.
• the original product is not easy to find, so stock up ahead of time. I do and I never regret it.
• I've only found the three packs of waspinators. It would be nice if they sell them individually... Yet if you think you're going to buy "only one", YOU'LL EVENTUALLY COME TO THE REALITY THAT you'll REALLY need to buy more than one. 👍👍
FYI:
• I utilize a large metal office binder clip (10 pack available at the dollar store). I clamp it at the bottom to additionally seal the opening shut. This prevents insects from inhabiting the interior of the laspinator.
• yes, you will see the occasional wasp on a casual exploratory mission, yet they don't linger around or make a nest. This product works!
• ground wasps (the quick spastic looking ones that look like they've had too much red bull to drink) want me to turn, yet they are few and far between in my local, and are more individualistic (solo dwellers) in nature.
• I purchased it for wasps that make hanging wasp nests, If you're trying to use it for hornets, bees or ground wasps that have their nests in the ground... The waspinator ain't for you!
Holds up fairly well in wind and rain. In New England, I bring them in for Winter and put them back out in April to prevent nests. I stuff plastic shopping bags inside them so that they maintain their shape better.
The handle on the top is inadequate and rips easily. It is not difficult to remedy this with a safety pin or nail.
I recommend highly.

do to minimize exposure to them is a bonus. A couple of suggestions....use bubble wrap to fill the bag as it totally fills it making it look more natural adding no weight to the bag itself.....and reinforce the hanger on it with additional stitching as it can be quite flimsy and in a decent wind you may have to go looking for it around yours or your neighbours yard. They’ll only last for a few years if in the sun as they will start to fall apart....be sure to take them down for the winter and put them back up in the spring. Just ordered another 3 pack as the ones we have are pretty much done.
