I'm using these to repel rats from my car engine. I don't have a garage, so I have to park under a tree to keep my car cool. We've had a rat problem since the beginning of covid, when they closed all the grocery stores and other food sources. Moth balls make a great rat repellant.
Tbh ive been using a whole open bag in my closets to rid my florida apartment of lizards. Seems to be working so far. The smell isn’t too bad I usually light a scented candle and turn on ceiling fans to mask it
Seems just fine. I got them to chase away pack rats that we have here in Az. Didn't work for that. The people who told me that it would must have more dainty city rats who are easily offended by odor.
Let me start off by saying - why lure people in with the 'no oder' tag? I was leaving my place for a couple months so I decided to put them up in the closet, between couch crevices and so on. I set them out too early I suppose - now my whole apartment has this weird smell that I can't get rid of. I understand what they're meant to do but false advertisement are the deal breaker for me. As to whether they work - only time will tel (hence the 3 stars). I remember my childhood days visiting my mom's workplace - they had moth balls all over the office space. But that was over 20 years ago. I assumed now they might've improved upon the scent.
On the packaging they have all these disclaimers about not breathing in the product and such. Now I legit feel like I'm breathing in poison. 😵💫
When I get back, I am so not going to spread these out for sure.
No way to really know how well they work. I can only tell you I put them in a large can with a plastic top through which I drilled air holes and left them around my property under bushes. Haven't seen any skunks in a while.
I decided to try these to keep animals from digging holes in my yard since absolutely nothing else worked. I also put some under my deck and not only did it work but the wasp problem we couldn’t locate suddenly disappeared!
I seem to have bought out all of the local mothball sellers in my area, and I was in the dumps when Anne asked if I had tried Amazon. Wow! Amazon came through in spades. These are great mothballs, and while I'm using them regularly, I'll reorder as soon as I'm low again.
