How To Use

Identify Surface Runways

Look for brown, grassless streaks on a lawn that are created when moles tunnel below. Carefully poke a hole in the top of the surface runway with your index finger. Be sure to not collapse the pile or cover up the hole. Mark the hole with a small stick. Repeat with several runway locations. Wait 48 - 72 hours and then check holes to see if they have been sealed. If they have, they are active and can be baited. Runways that have had holes resealed within 72 hours should be baited.

Bait Only Active Runways

Poke a hole 3 to 5 feet on either side of the assessment hole and place one worm bait down each hole. Push the worm as far down as you can. Make sure each worm is sitting on the floor of the runway. Reseal the runway with dirt to keep out any light and pinch hole closed or cover it with a piece of sod or small rock.

Check for Mole Activity

Wait 5 to 7 days, then check for mole activity using the same process in Step 1. If the holes stay open for 48 - 72 hours, the mole has likely traveled the runway and eaten the bait.

Detection

A clue that you might have a mole problem is your lawn will have raised brown, grassless streaks which are created when moles tunnel below. The other thing to look for are 'mole hills' which are seen above ground and are created when the mole pushes soil and debris to the surface.

Type of Mole Traps and Repellents

Mechanical Trap

This non-toxic option provides effective kill without use of baits. It holds the mole for proof of kill.

Repellents

Spread or spray over the lawn as directed and you’ll discover that when Tomcat moves in – moles move out.

Baits – Mole Killers

Moles eat bait and die underground.

Bye Bye Mole

Bye Bye Mole
Arrived at my door step 9/7 and I immediately put all 10 worms in each mole mound. I didnt follow the directions. Instead i dug down to the hole in the mounds and stuck my hand in deep and flicked the worm in as far as i could get it and covered the holes back up. Next day i saw one mound partially lifted and saw no activity again. On 9/14 my son found a mole dead on the ground. PET OWNERS BEWARE! This mole came out where my dogs could've ate him. Luckily my son found it. It worked very well for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Our of 5 boxes I had a box of 10 worms that were all bad.
Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2023
The worms do work. We began to have moles all over my yard and I tried many things to stop them. The Tom Cat Worms where the only thing that slowed them down. What I am upset about is I ordered 5 boxes back in June and have just now got to my last box. I have had them stored in a cool safe place. When I open the last box, ever package was bad. The photo shows how they were all melted and run to the top. It had to come that way from the factory or that box had been stored in a very hot place before it came to me.
I hope someone from Tom Cat reads this. We, your customers, need a way to contact you when we get a bad product. Before, I have received some boxes that one or two worms were bad or stuck so it was hard to get them out. This is the first time I got a box that they were all bad and totally unusable.
