Finalsan is a patented fast-acting weed, grass, algae, lichen, and moss killer. Using a specially formulated, non-staining, ammoniated soap of fatty acids, Finalsan is a non-selective herbicide that controls or suppresses many common annual, biennial, and perennial weeds. Finalsan Total Vegetation & Weed Killer can be applied around turf, ornamental and food crop areas including parks, playgrounds, golf, schools and areas with pesticide bans/concerns. Finalsan also controls moss & algae on roofs, decks, walks and sidings. Within minutes Finalsan breaks down the waxy surfaces of leaf cells causing wilt and eventually cell death. Finalsan also leaves no harmful residue in the soil. Finalsan won’t stain bricks, concrete or asphalt and people and pets can re-enter area once spray dries. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Shake well before using. Slight agitation may be required during use. USE PRECAUTIONS: Finalsan Concentrate works best during warm and dry conditions. Application during cold weather may delay appearance of plant damage. If rain falls within 3 hours of treatment, an additional spray may be required. Plant damage will be visible from a few hours to 2 days after spraying. Avoid spraying desirable plants. Thoroughly clean equipment after use. The best results are obtained with young, actively growing weeds, less than 5 inches high. Repeat treatment every 2 to 3 weeks to control new weeds growing from seed and re-growth from bi-annual and perennial weeds. Avoid contact with fruit and green plant tissues. STAND ALONE APP RATES: Perennial or more established weed mix 1 part Finalsan with 5 parts water (21 oz. Finalsan to 1 gal. water). Annual weeds and small easy-to-kill weeds mix 1 part Finalsan with 9 parts water (12.8 oz. Finalsan to 1 gal. water). Moss and algae mix 1 part Finalsan with 19 parts water (6.4 oz. Finalsan to 1 gal. water). Thorough coverage is extremely important.

This herbicide works by burning whatever you spray it on via fatty acids, like using a blow torch but without the fire hazard. Unlike Glyphosate, it does not get absorbed into the plants system. I like it for several reasons. Firstly, it leaves no toxic residual and so I don't worry about using it around pets, livestock, wildlife, etc. just keep them away until it has dried. Secondly, it works fast. Usually the weeds are crispy fried within hours, especially when used in hot weather. Because it is non systemic it can be used to burn off tree suckers and bindweed growing among flowers without killing the desired plants if I accidentally get some on them. It does work best on small weeds and in hot weather. Not as effective on large weeds. I find that the maximum concentration works best and I always put at least quarter cup of vinegar per gallon with it. Also be sure to mix it with clean tap water, not irrigation water. It can burn skin and eyes so wear gloves and glasses as per the instructions. This is my go to spray for nuisance weeds in my Vegetable garden, flowerbeds, driveway etc. It's not cheap but well worth the peace of mind. If you are familiar with Scythe herbicide this is basically the same thing and a very good value for the money
This was recommended to help kill the moss on the roof, as well as weeds and other nuisance growth around the house. I have hit the roof moss twice, the 2nd time at the highest concentration, and the moss is still looking green and happy. For weeds, they wilted for a few days, but definitely didn't die. The whole area smelled pretty ripe for a day or two. I will use the rest of this gigantic jug, maybe it will do something somewhere, but won't purchase again.
Excellent product for a reasonable price. This herbicide performs flawlessly in destroying the plant it is applied on. It does not ruin neighboring plants as long as care is taken in the application.
Used this to spray fence line in horse's pastures. Could see results in just a few hours. I did add 2 quarts of 75% strength vinegar and 2.5 gallon container of Finalsan to 30 gallon spray tank. The next day within 24 hours weeds were already yellowed and brown. Now it's been 6 days since sprayed and 99% of everything is dead may have not sprayed enough were there is some weed. It did rain the following day also. I will use this product again because I got good results and do not want to use anything that will harm my horses or other wildlife or humans.
I first tried this product at the lowest concentration recommended. To no affect. Then I tried it at three times the concentration. Some weeds wilted a bit, but did not die. After a couple of weeks they are still there and looking green and healthy. I have used glyphsoate on my driveway for years and would like to find an alternative. This product is not it. It killed maybe 10% of the many different kinds of weeds that like to live in the gravel of my very long driveway. I don't expect that if I double or triple the concentration yet again that it is going to do all that much better. But I will because I bought it and it is otherwise useless.
